I will dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
